Art Journaling
This workshop is all about providing an outlet to both write out and visually map out parts of our memories, and provides the space for experimentation and imperfection. Participants will follow along with prompts and activities, and use various materials and techniques including paper and mixed media collage, drawing, creative writing, and more.
Collage Parties
Create collages of your choosing, or from a theme with the help of prompts offering tips on how to build a collage.
Alternative: Collaborative Collages
Create collages and connections by adding elements to a collage image and then passing it along to another participant to do the same. Each participant keeps an image, with the additional option of all images being scanned and compiled into a digital booklet.

Learn how to transfer natural plant pigments through the techniques of flower pounding and steaming,
This is a fast and very fun way of using flowers and plant materials to create designs on fabrics. You will be surprised by the colours you can extract! This workshop can be done with provided tote bags or items brought by participants (natural fibres only)

A crash course in immersion dying, participants will have the opportunity to dye embroidery floss (/other) using local and native plants
Try slow, eco-friendly dyeing using solar jar methods
Create botanical prints on fabric using steaming techniques- no hammering required

A crash course in starting a garden or balcony garden. Learn what types of plants will thrive in your space, and how to care for them. This workshop can be tailored to your preferred subject matter and gardening goals.

Time: 2-3 hours

Go on a leisurely walk through a local green space and learn how to identify local flora and their traditional uses.
Participants will get a blank booklet to create their own plant ID guide with notes.
